Judo Club: Fighting hard at the All Japan Student Judo Weight Class Championships!

The Kansai Student Judo Weight Class Championships were held on Sunday, August 20th, and the following three athletes earned the right to compete in the All Japan Student Judo Weight Class Championships (Individual Intercollegiate) to be held on September 30th and October 1st.

In addition, the team placed 4th overall with 12 points in the weight class championship, and also earned the right to compete in the All Japan Student Judo Weight Class Team Championship (Weight Class Team Intercollegiate Championship), to be held on October 21st and 22nd, where the top 10 schools are eligible to compete.

As a result, our university's judo club will be participating in all three Intercollegiate Judo Championships.

Furthermore, Yoshida Sota came in second in the -66kg category, which means he has also qualified for the Kodokan Cup All Japan Weight Class Championships, one of the big titles in the domestic tournament, which will be held on November 4th and 5th.

-66kg runner-up Sota Yoshida (3rd year, Department of Economics) will compete in the Kodokan Cup
-73kg 3rd place Hakuku Aihara (3rd year student Department of Sport and Health Sciences)
