STUDENT'S VOICE

  • Mr. Ryudai Ko

    RYUDAI KOU

    Both language and culture
    Deepen your understanding of Korea.

I chose Department of International Studies because I wanted to specialize in the language of my Korean roots. A distinctive feature of this department is that students can deepen their understanding of the diverse languages as well as the history and culture of the region. I am studying Korean language, English, Korean history, Western European culture, and international politics. Every time I hear more parts in foreign programs and movies, I feel like I'm growing. Through mock classes aimed at becoming a Japanese language teacher and classes in which students present short essays in English, I am now able to express my opinions in an orderly manner in public.

  • ?Mr. Kenji Yamamoto

    KENJI YAMAMOTO

    Share expert knowledge
Learn about the realities of international society.

The Department of International Studies provides an environment in which you are close to the professors, making it easy to ask questions about classes and consult about job hunting. In the seminars, students learn about international issues in a practical manner while listening to real stories from people who are active on the front lines, such as invited guest speakers and lecturers at the training site. Another appeal of this department is that you can view international society from a wide range of perspectives, including history, law, and psychology. During my off-campus activities as an elementary school soccer coach, I was able to apply psychology to come up with practice methods that increase motivation.
