"Great ordinary man"

When thinking about Japan's future industrial economy, the founder, Genzaburo Sejima, was keenly aware that parallel development of transportation and industry was essential, and with a red-handed karate, he founded the Osaka Railway School in 1928. .
Since then, in addition to transportation and industrial education, we have cultivated human resources with an emphasis on human development and creativity development, and created a unique school with the founding spirit of ``great ordinary people'' to develop people who live by the belief of self-establishment. Through our academic culture, we cultivate a deep outlook on life and a broad view of the world, and we devote ourselves to the development of modern industrialists with a global perspective who can contribute to the development of a new industrial society and the welfare of humankind. We have contributed as a university that can respond to these demands.

“The idea behind this book is to create a place for education that is not just a means to get ahead in the career, as traditional education is, and that this is a major premise for improving the culture of the country as a whole. This is the purpose of the school's founding, and I have thought about the ideal form of education in which each person can fully fulfill their mission, and that is the purpose of life for those who have enjoyed life.
Abandoning Hinayana utilitarian ideas such as becoming a great person, becoming a scholar, becoming a person of honor and status, becoming rich, etc., when the time comes, you can kill yourself and join human society. It may seem mundane to have the idea that contributing is the purpose of life, and that it also leads to a peaceful and happy life, and therefore the joy of living for a long life. I thought of an education that would be the best molecule for the human social structure that should not exist. This, in my opinion, is the greatest thing in life... ”
