Student Life Creative Center

What is the Create Center?

In recent years, active learning, where students take the initiative and are proactive, has been particularly encouraged. In addition, there is value in actually using your hands to "make things."
Osaka Sangyo University opened the Create Center in 2002 with the aim of providing a "space for manufacturing" to support students in their independent activities outside of regular classes, thereby bringing out their independence, creativity, and proactiveness, and allowing them to experience the joy and difficulty of making things. The Create Center is currently used by many students.
In addition, since 2017, the institute has been part of Institute of Education, and student staff and faculty members conduct various seminars related to classes, including CAD, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, welding, electronics, 3D printers, illustrators, etc., as well as practical education seminars and factory tours.
A place for manufacturing is also a place for developing people. Please come, see, and experience it!

How to Use

The Create Center is a "comprehensive manufacturing facility" that anyone can use at any time. By presenting your student ID card at the reception and registering as a user (new registration or continuing registration), anyone can use the facility, regardless of whether they are in the humanities or sciences. In addition, student staff are primarily responsible for providing technical support such as seminars and trial sessions. This support is provided to help users deepen their understanding of how to operate the equipment and use it safely and effectively. We also ask that you adhere to the detailed terms of use that will be provided to you when you register.

User Registration

If you wish to use the facilities, please register at the Create Center.

  1. If you wish to use the facility, please first complete the user registration process.
  2. Although you will be able to use the facilities after registering as a user, there are some areas where you cannot use the facilities unless you attend certain training sessions. If you wish to use the machining area, welding area, electronic work area, 3D printers, or cutting printers, you must attend the designated training sessions.
  3. 3. When using large printers, dye-sublimation printers, or 3D printers for personal use, a stamp (cost of transfer material and filament material) is required. If you are using the printers for a project, graduation research, or club activity, you do not need a stamp, but you must bring a "Facility Use Request and Rental Application" to the store.

Manufacturing Class

The facility is also used as a venue for "manufacturing classes" aimed at local residents, allowing them to experience the joy of making things.
Students belonging to the Kyoiku Project "Manufacturing Development Project" learn about the difficulty and joy of teaching others, as well as the importance of teamwork, through a series of activities that include design, parts production, PR activities, creating PowerPoint presentations of work instructions, and running an original website, based on content that they themselves have planned.
